TIPS TO WALKING YOU DOG ON A LEASH.

Do you want to be able to walk your furry buddy on a leash an not throw your back out?
I have great news for you! You can... if you put the effort into it.
Plan on walking your dog every day and do it. Make sure you set aside 20 min every day, so instead of scrolling through the Facebook classifieds after supper, take a walk.
Now you have the time set aside now make sure you have the tools for the job. I use a slip lead, this can be a "choke" collar or even a thin rope with a welded ring tied on the end so it loosens when not being pulled, and tightens when being pulled.
Next put the leash on your dog and pull on the leash make sure it tightens when you pull it and loosens when the dog sits.
Now do some test runs in your living room, you want to loosen the leash when the dog is at heel and gets tight as you give quick tugs and say heel if he steps ahead of you.
You can also tell them to sit every time they get ahead of you. Then tell them to heel and have them walk next to you.
She should understand fairy quickly, but it may take a few weeks to a month of outdoor walks before they will just walk by your side.
Remember to bring plastic bags for the incidental bathroom breaks along the way and everyone will be happy to see  how well behaved your dog is and the both of you walking every evening.
